JUry duty and sickness?

I am A 20 year old male who has Crohn’s disease and have had it for about 4 1/2 years now. about 2 years ago i had surgery to remove adhesives that were attaching my intestines to the inner wall of my stomach. Now with my Crohn’s i can’t sit for lengthy periods of time at all without pain in my lower stomach. My question is i recently withing next couple weeks have to do jury duty and i’m worried i might not be able to sit through it all without having to get up. Do i have to send them a doctors notice saying i have a medical problem? once again this is my first jury duty . Also i haven’t been to the doctor withing the last year or so due to just not having insurance nor a steady job due to my Crohn’s. Your help would be greatly appreciated

if you get a dr note and take it with you on the day of your jury duty then show it to them when they ask then they should let yo leave.

The last doctor that treated you, ask that he sign a paper, offer to even pay a fee for it- I have sufffered with Anxiety and IBS and I canot sit long either- so I called my doctor who was well aware of my condition though I hadn’t been there for about a year or so and she wrote me a note to send back with the jury duty paper.
That is all you have to do- and write in what you have on the actual paper as well.
