cramps or morning sickness?

Michelle P asked:

Let me first say I really do not think I am pregnant, I have been on Yaz for 2 years prior to Nuva ring which I just started on September 24th. On October 20th I opted to skip my period (because I was on my honeymoon) I just took out my second ring today two days early because my uterus hurts so god damn much. It started last night November 7th feeling sick constantly waking up and having bad cramps. This morning and throughout the day they have gotten worse it feels as if my uterus is a about to burst and when I walk I have to hunch over a little. I feel nauseous and about to throw up at times but not enough to actually run to the bathroom and I haven’t actually thrown up or even gagged, just the feeling randomly that I might. My ******* are not tender at all, and I don’t feel motion sick or dizzy. I tried to walk it off knowing exercise can help cramps but it just made me want a bed more. I have taken Midol and I don’t think it has helped that much if at all.

My Questions:

1. do you think I’m pregnant or just having really bad cramps if you think I’m pregnant would a *** on test show up by the time you are feeling morning sickness (mind you I have skipped a period with the Nuvaring)
2. My husband remembers when I started Yaz and says I had really bad cramps when I first started it as well, could this be my body adapting to the medicine?
3. Could this be constipation? I feel sharp pains have it is getting worse overall, I don’t remember going to the bathroom in a few days but I continue to eat (though admittedly increasing less each passing meal)
3. What can I do to feel better right now I can’t do anything, it hurts to much I have taken warm showers and put the water on my lower stomach and it makes it feel really good but hot pads outside the shower do not have nearly the same effect.
4. Because I just got married we are both in-between health insurances now so any “at home” advice would be very helpful, if not how much does it cost to go to a walk in clinic for something like this?
Thank you so much for your help, will vote on best!

now listen

Constipation is an unlikey cause, but its possible. Mentrual cramps are usually not accompanied by sharp pains. You could have an ectopic pregnancy, in which case you may not have the normal signs of pregnancy, and you should find an ER asap. Is there a phone nurse in your area you can call? Look in the phone book under social services or something like that and there should be a free phone advice nurse service.
